About

Frum households buy a lot of things that exist only because of how we live: urns that stay hot for 25 hours, hot plates, blechs, two of every kitchen item, a sukkah's worth of lights, tights by the dozen. Much of it is sold under Jewish brand names at a Judaica store price — and much of it is a plain product you can buy anywhere for a fraction of the cost.

Smart Kosher Savings is a running list of those matches. For each item we show the Jewish-branded version and its typical price next to the generic that does the identical job, with a link to buy it on Amazon or Walmart.

What we don't do

We compare products by function and price only. We don't make kashrus or halachic claims about any item, and we don't tell you what is or isn't acceptable for your home. Those questions go to your rav.

How we make money

Links to Amazon and Walmart are affiliate links. If you buy through them we earn a small commission at no cost to you. It never changes the price you pay, and it never changes which product we list; we list the generic because it's the same thing for less.

Prices

Every price on this site is approximate: a typical list price at the time we checked. Prices move daily. What you see at checkout is the real number.
